Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my transitional resource classroom, many students need extra support with emotional regulation, sensory processing, and social-emotional learning. Before they are ready to learn, they often need a safe space to calm their bodies and minds.

This sensory corner will provide tools to help students regulate emotions, improve focus, and return to learning.

Modular blocks will create cozy spaces for de-escalation, while a hammock swing, spin seat, jellyfish sensory tank, and sensory tubes will provide calming sensory input. High-interest building toys will encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

These are more than classroom materials—they are tools that help students build self-regulation skills, reduce anxiety, and stay engaged in learning. Your support will create a safe, welcoming space where every student can reset, refocus, and succeed. Thank you for helping make this possible!
