My Students

I am a Second-year teacher at this school. It is a group of students in a city and is in a small neighborhood that is near the ocean. There is a large immigrant population. In the school,​ the students get acclimated with the English language and literature about all different kinds of places and topics. They also use different modes to explore different subject matters in all areas.

Having different types of tools in order to explore in language is an educational experience that students need to further their quest for knowledge.

My Project

Have you ever taught students who just moved to your country? Not only did they leave their old homes behind, they are experiencing a whole new culture, climate, geography - on top of having to learn a new language! And when that language is English, it becomes even harder. The items I have ordered magnetic letters, word, highlighters, and English Language Learner curriculum will benefit all students with being able to manipulate the English language in different ways.

It's trite and it's cliche - but we know one of the best ways to learn is to make it fun.

The tools and activities that I've chosen for this project are going to help all of my students and especially my English Language Learners, to grow in Language arts and improve academic discourse in conversations.
