Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school in southern California where all students receive free meals. I have 20 awesome kindergarten students who are culturally diverse. They are a group of amazing and deserving kids. They are bridging the cultural gap every day as they learn, work, and play together. We are one big family!

My number one goal is to help all my students achieve the skills they need to be successful in school and in life.

To capture their interests, I need resources to help make learning engaging and enjoyable!

My Project

My kindergartners have been hard at work, learning from home! My students now see our learning as the new normal and we are doing the best that we can during this difficult time.

It's important that all of my students can see everything that I am sharing during our zoom to help them learn.

The easel cart has a magnetic dry erase board which is perfect when I post vocabulary words and graphic organizers. I can easily attach anchor charts that we use for writing or math. There are bins attached that will hold all of the manipulatives we use for math. All my culturally responsive books that represent the interests of my students and reflect the diversity of all the students in my classroom can be store in the bins so I easily access them during story time. All the materials I need to teach my students will be neatly stored in one place!
