This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher who enjoys teaching the little minds. Kindergarten lays the foundation for other grades. They also make friends, learn to be confident, and be generally caring humans. Kindergarten is the grade to start on hands-on activities so they can fully grasp the content.

Most of our students are low socioeconomically, but in the classroom that doesn't even matter.

We may not have every material that we would love to, but the students are always giving 100% in class. My students love when we do centers time. It is a time where they get to have conversations and help each other during hands-on activities.

My Project

My students need to be able to use their hands and physically touch the activities designed during our reading and math centers. The items that I am requesting will allow students to be able to supply a smoother transition and a better way to observe the ability of each student by level. I am requesting pouches so I can differentiate each students level by color. The coins are stickers that will be placed in each pouch so students can identify which pouch they need to get during centers. We will also be using the crayons for a variety of activities during this time.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of different skills that have been previously taught in reading and math.

By having these items it will allow our class to create smoother routine and easily identify students ability. It will better prepare my students to think like authors and mathematicians. Any donation is appreciated!
