My Project

My students are a high school all-girls robotics team that is passionate about gender equity in STEM fields.

The items that I have requested are needed to help our team build our robot, store tools, and transport tools each season to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Some of the items I have requested include tool storage bins, rivets, and a wire stripper.

Our school believes in learning with an eye toward tomorrow’s economy. The fastest growing, most well-paid sectors require strong STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math). FIRST robotics is the best project-based learning experience I can offer my students.

Besides building a robot, FIRST robotics also will help our team develop soft skills such as problem solving, self-directed learning, communication, collaboration and creativity.
