My students need one to one technology to enable them to do research. Chromebooks would allow my students to be efficient at research in the short amount of time they are in my class each day.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is a multi-age, multicultural class of gifted and talented students who love STEAM! From a Title I community school with over 60% free and reduced lunch, my students come from apartments, trailers, duplexes, and single family homes. They embrace their differences and come together for some amazing, boundary free learning.
We are always searching for avenues to challenge our different ways of thinking.
My students love to do hands-on projects that allow them to problem solve projects in science, engineering and math using technology, and art as well as their group problem solving and creativity to complete their tasks.
My Project
I am requesting Chromebooks so that each of my students will be able to use technology for research projects. Students will be researching ecosystems and collecting daily weather data from various places around the world. Since my students are only with me for a short period of time each day, and research is an important part of our curriculum, it is difficult for students to complete their research within reasonable time frames.
One to one technology will allow my students to be efficient researchers.
Having the ability to sit down and get started in a timely manner keeps the students focused and on track in their learning.
