Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Keeping students comfortable and in class is my goal with these items. My school clinic serves students in a Title 1 elementary school with more than 50% of our students from low income households. We care for students ages ranging from 3-12.

Help students freshen up and recharge in the clinic so they are ready to learn.

Accidents happen, being able to change at school and get back to class can be so helpful. This is why I am looking for underwear, clothing basics, and socks.

Young women can use a little extra comfort for their feminine hygiene. Wipes, a warm pad, and clean undergarments are a blessing.

Sometimes we all need a break. Occasionally that tummy ache isn't quite what it seems. A few minutes coloring or watching colorful bubbles float by is sometimes all the rest they need to get re-energized and back to class.

A little treasure box for that missing tooth, what a fun way to mark a milestone of childhood.

These items will help students get comfortable and back to class quickly so they can continue to learn. Our school system stocks us with some great basics but sometimes a few comfort items make all the difference.
