My Project

Our music classroom is growing, and we are looking to expand our instrument family with a bass xylophone and a dedicated cart for safe storage and easy movement. A bass xylophone adds a rich, foundational sound that is essential for helping students truly understand harmony and ensemble playing. Right now, our students are missing that low voice that anchors the music, and adding this instrument would allow them to experience a more complete and balanced sound when they play together.

With a proper cart, we can safely store and transport the instrument between classes, making it accessible to more students throughout the day.

This project will directly support our Orff-style teaching approach, where students learn rhythm, melody, and ensemble skills through hands-on instrument playing. With the addition of a bass xylophone, students will be able to take on new musical roles, deepen their understanding of how parts fit together, and feel the excitement of creating full, layered music as a group.
