This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am currently teaching fifth grade. My school is located in Sandy, Utah, and is part of the DLI program. I have 42 amazing students.

My two classes are amazing and always ready to work hard no matter what, even if sometimes it's hard for them to speak in Spanish half of the day.

I love their creativity and the different ways they have to approach problems.

Learning a second language is not easy, especially when you learn not only the language but different subjects. It's a great program, and it works!

It is their fifth year learning in DLI, the target language is Spanish and they can speak fluently about a great variety of topics.

They are always eager to learn new things and I really love when they learn something new and they show their surprise face.

My Project

Practice makes the master, and this is what I want my students to do. I want them to practice their Spanish skills independently, but also in station groups. Technology like this, it's highly motivating for them and I want to use their enthusiasm to make them work harder than ever without even them noticing.

Covid-19 it's still here and we have to be cautious, with this new I-pads my students will be able to learn, have fun, work hard, and all of it in a safe environment.
