This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students thrive in off-campus learning events. They maintain an inquisitive mind and truly work as historians, writers, or scientists.
My students are hard working, curious learners.
They enjoy asking questions and thinking critically to answer those inquiries. My students are resilient problem solvers who overcome setbacks in their homes and local communities. They value education and know that their hard work will lead to success.
My Project
History will come alive for my students as they board the USS Midway. They will learn about the hard work and efforts it takes to keep a small city on a ship running efficiently. They will also learn about the heroic Americans who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and safety.
This project will greatly increase the students' interest in history, science, and mathematics.
When students participate in field trips experiences, their interest in learning and education increases. They are more interested in school related projects and feel motivated to study outside of the classroom.
