My students are eager to learn and explore new things. They are not usually afforded these opportunities at home due to economic reasons. I work in a Title I school where a large majority of my students receive free and reduced price lunch. They often do not get a chance to experience other things outside of school, and my goal is to be able to provide them with these experiences inside the classroom. All the students in my classroom deserve a chance to learn and feel excited, and it is my goal to be able to provide them with this. I love seeing the expressions on their faces when they get to experience new things in the classroom.
These sight word readers and upper level readers will help my students in so many ways in the classroom. The students will feel confident in reading because these books will be on their level as well as challenge the students who are reading at higher levels. The students will be able to do reports on the books they read, complete comprehension papers and show understanding of the material they have read. The most important part of this project is that the students will be getting new reading materials to help them succeed in the classroom on a daily basis. Thank you for your support.
