This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The holiday season is the perfect time to inspire a love of reading! I am requesting copies of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg for our students to enjoy during a read-aloud. This beloved holiday classic will spark imagination, strengthen literacy skills, and introduce meaningful lessons about kindness, generosity, and the magic of the season.

With these books, students will participate in engaging activities, including creative writing, reading comprehension, and holiday crafts.

These experiences will encourage creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the story.

Most importantly, I want every child to experience the joy of owning a book! With your support, students can later add The Polar Express to their home libraries and share this holiday tradition with their families. Thank you for helping our young readers create magical memories and develop a lifelong love of reading.
