Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how my students enjoy having fun while learning. They always say that what they learn has to be relevant to daily life. The items we are requesting will provide our students with the tools to communicate in Spanish and practice working in a restaurant or purchasing items in a grocery store. One of the goals is for my students to be able to ask and respond to questions in Spanish using pretend food. My students are always looking for ways to improve their Spanish.
They enjoy working and collaborating together and doing skits.
The items we have requested will allow them to use their imagination and pretend they are in a restaurant/grocery story or other place ordering food and or selling in Spanish. The pretend food and cash registers will allow them to use their language skills in real world experience using realia. The bracelet-making kits will help students socialize more readily with each other.
