Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach math middle school 7 and 8. My math resource students learn better kinesthetically . The math manipulative is more hands-on learning. When students learn, the abstract and seemingly arbitrary nature of algebra disappears and the mathematical concepts become clear and understandable . With manipulative students are able to build their own understanding. The fidget will benefit my students with various energy levels, helping them stay focused and on task. The other supplies are for my students that need to take breaks in between activities. These supplies will help them improve their problem solving skills and attention span.
