Alexa's Answering Appeal and Awesomeness

Help me give my students answers to their questions that I may not know about science! An Alexa in the classroom is just like having an efficient encyclopedia at our fingertips.

My Students

My students are the coolest people in the world. I love coming to school everyday to work with them. As a former police officer I realize the challenges facing students within my school (and within the district). Those experiences parlayed themselves when I became a substitute teacher and starting working directly with students. This helped me decide to serve my students by becoming a teacher, as opposed to a police officer.

The best experience I can have as a teacher is when student curiosity gets them thinking outside the box.

Give me a curious student and I will show them the world.

My Project

Our classroom would benefit from having an second Generation Echo to enhance learning. Science is a subject, which cultivates questioning and wonders. With an Echo, students will be able to ask Alexa questions in order to satisfy their questions and wonders.

An Amazon Alexa would further cultivate a climate and culture of inquisitiveness and learning in my classroom.

An Alexa passively monitors until prompted to answer questions, stream music and reinforces curiosity.

Please consider donating to our classroom so we are able to give Alexa a home. The students would appreciate having access to this technology resource. "We keep moving forward opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." ~Walt Disney
