My students are high-achieving, curious, diverse, and ambitious urban high school students striving for college. I teach 10th grade and 11th grade advanced placement language and composition.
Our school is an exam school in an urban public school district, which means that all of my students passed a rigorous exam and maintained a competitive GPA to gain admission to our school.
Though one of our primary missions is to provide students with a rich literary and technological experience, we lack the books and other resources to do so.
My students are preparing to take the Advanced Placement Language and Composition exam. They have been practicing skills in class, but sometimes do not receive the kind of instant feedback that would allow them to make deeper gains more efficiently.
My students would significantly benefit from more immediate feedback and practice they can do at home.
This will not only better prepare them for the Advanced Placement test, but also develop their critical reading and writing skills.
Luckily, because of a previous Donor's Choose project, our classroom has a class set of Chromebooks we can use whenever we need. A class license for Albert would be the perfect addition to our classroom tools.
