Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help provide my school with an airbrush compressor for art projects and to help develop business skills. Students will use the airbrush compressor set to do faceplanting on spirit days, and for assemblies. Additionally students will learn valuable business skills by developing fundraiser that will utilize the facepaint airbrush compressor. Students will develop a business plan to determine how much they will need to charge for a faceplanting and then develop a plan for when and where they will provide services. This will help students understand basic business skills. Students will use profist from facepainting to add to their ASB accounts as per state laws and the ASB will vote as to how those funds are allocated. Currently our ASB funds help provide funds for field trips, playground equpiment, special guest speakers and support our robotics and history day competition groups.

The majority of students at our school live below the federal poverty line, and developing business skills and managing a budget and money is a life long skill that will help fight poverty.
