Aim for the Moon and Stars

My students need Earth Science materials and a planetarium to solidify instruction pertaining to the sun, moon, stars, and planets.

This project is fully funded

My Students

My students are active members in our county's schools. We are one of two fourth and fifth-grade centers in our county. Our classroom consists of students whose academic levels range from 2nd to 12th-grade levels. These students all work cooperatively in my class. They help each other to shine! They embrace new methods and styles of teaching and learning.

The students in my class are excited about learning.

They love hands-on activities, reading, researching, and technology. By utilizing these methods of teaching in my class I have seen huge improvements in engagement and mastery of my students.

My Project

As a fifth grade teacher, I am responsible for science instruction for two classes. I use the state three dimensional science standards to teach my students. This means that I use investigations with hands on activities for each of my lessons. My kids discover their learning!!! The kids thrive with this kind of instruction.

I am in need of hands on materials to support my kids love of Earth Science.

I have put in for a planetarium and interactive constellation book for my classroom. These items will allow my kids to work with the solar system and discover more each day.
