Help me give my students the 100 Series Tunable Tubano with which to create and perform music.

I've just moved here from Houston, Texas so this is my first year as a music teacher in the Kansas City area. It has been the most challenging year and yet the most rewarding one. It's been challenging because I have had to establish new relationships with students and co-workers. It has been most rewarding because the hard work with my students is paying off. I can honestly say that my fifth grade students are Kansas City's best kept secret! They are intelligent, focused and amazing musicians who love a good challenge!
Honestly, I've never had a group of students who are more talented than they are.
Whatever I teach them, they grab and run with. They absolutely love performing the music they are learning for their peers, parents and teachers.
With the Tubano, a drum similar to the conga, my students will learn to play African rhythms, improvise and perform as an ensemble. The use of African drums in the classroom will also promote a positive environment in which students work together to create music and support each other's playing. The Tubano lends itself to a style of playing known as call and response. The leader will play the call and the drummer or drummers will play the response. With this style, the leader is free to improvise a rhythm while the group plays the response.
Presently, we are preparing a song for the Black History program entitled Makosa.
The Makosa is an African dance from West Africa which is typically accompanied by drums and other percussive instruments. Students are so excited about performing this lively piece for the audience!
The performance will engender confidence and self- discipline.
