My Project

Students learn best when they are actively involved. In the thirty-one years that I have taught, it has become clear that for students to learn something the subject has to be real and meaningful....it has to matter to them. I would like to create an interdisciplinary unit to encourage students to take an active role in agriculture, horticulture, and sustainability.

Students will hatch chicks and learn the basics of caring for them, plant and tend succulents to take home, and learn various ways to encourage sustainability in our school and community.
