AG Students Need Document Camera Too!

My students need an AVerMedia AVerVision document camera to use with our new classroom projector.

My Students

So many times this year my students have needed to see a document or object of which there is only 1. With a document camera everyone would be able to easily see the document, book, or other 3D object on the big screen!

My class of Academically Gifted (AG) and Talent Development (TD) students include different groups of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students throughout the day.

These are students who attend a Title 1 school where more than 85% of the students receive Free or Reduced Lunch. My students are the top achievers in our school despite the circumstances that surround their daily lives. My classes are some of the most diverse AG and TD students in our district! They also love learning, especially when we are able to integrate technology!

My Project

Our classroom was lucky enough to recently be funded for a projector. Now that the projector will be arriving soon, we are ready for the next step...a document camera. Having a document camera means that the students will be able to easily share their documents, which this nine weeks would include their blueprints for their House Design unit and their pieces of writing. Next nine weeks students would be able to share their solutions to our spontaneous problem solving activities and information for their personal research projects with the document camera.

No longer will students complain that they can't see what is being shared.

They will all be able to see when we are able to add this document camera to our new projector. It will project the image of the document, the activity, or anything else that is put under it in full color on the screen at the front of the room. We are looking forward to continuing our classroom upgrade into the 21st century with your help!
