My students need outdoor equipment for after-school kickball events. This will not only help the students get some exercise, but it will provide an opportunity for them to meet and interact with others.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Increasing our student's involvement in classes, clubs, and events is a goal our school feels strongly about. The development of extracurricular activities is one way to reach those who have not joined one of our student organizations. Because of the high poverty rate in our area, equipment available for student use is limited and often in poor condition.
Encouraging students to participate in after-school sports that are easy to participate in, high in social interaction, and incredibly fun is our goal.
We have focused on early childhood games like kickball to help attract, retain, and include students from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.
My Project
Students will be able to learn how to play the game of kickball as they form teams, learn the rules, and practice a healthy and fun game.
The balls, bases, canopy, air pump, kickballs, and outdoor equipment will help set up a safe and fun environment for students to learn how to play the game of kickball.
Many have played this game in their elementary grades but with an increase in academics and homework, many have forgotten how fun kickball can be.
The different sizes of balls used for kickball are softer and more forgiving than others like soccer. Students will be more willing to participate, continue playing, and explore other sports if they have success, which we hope kickball can provide.
