My Project

I work at an elementary school that is transitioning to the Afrocentric school for SPM. Our school is at the heart of a neighborhood, which was a historically Black neighborhood prior to the building of highway 94.

The neighborhood fights to thrive, and fighting is not something 10 year-olds should have to be learning yet.

The library we're building will represent who is reading the books that are in the space. All students deserve a beautiful and robust library to grow their love of reading and learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
