My Project
My project will encourage academic enrichment and remove barriers for visual learners for 25 students! In my classroom, we utilize anchor charts in our learning every day. The use of anchor charts allows whole group modeling and shared interactive lessons to hook them. Our classroom has a wall of anchor charts with each subject area labeled.
Students can see our phonics skills of the week, comprehension stories we have read, math concepts we are learning, writing pieces we have completed together, and science and social studies concepts we have learned.
My students benefit from the visuals of each concept, learning target, and being able to refer to them throughout the week. For my visual learners, this supports and enriches their learning environment. The more appealing my charts are, the more excited my students get about each lesson! The items we have asked for like various types of charts, markers, crayons, washi tape, and storage, will help add pizzazz to our charts. TPT is also a great resource for anchor chart examples, concepts, and interactive lessons to go with our charts. Each material will help us learn and give visuals for the year!
