Our classroom is compiled of twenty-six students that enjoy embarking on the adventures that classical literature and education provide, regardless of their accessibility to books outside of our classroom. We love to explore our imaginations together as a class, as well as the other various world's authors created in the novels and short stories we get to experience together.
Students in our classroom fall within the wide spectrum of experienced readers that love delving into the world between the covers of their books and those that haven't discovered their love of books yet.
My Project
Through our classroom library, my students will experience life outside of their own situations and circumstances. They will be taken on the greatest adventures while living through their heroes' victories and find solace in the tragedies.
Students will experience the hush of our classroom when Wendy falls from the sky and John Henry appears victorious through the haze of debris and smoke, all the while begging for more!
As good books support their character formation and imagination, they will find camaraderie and similarities between themselves and their circumstances and the characters found within their stories. Books will become their gateway to life beyond themselves.
