This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students are high-energy, creative, intuitive, smart, and all around amazing. They love to explore and learn new things. I teach at a Title 1 school and resources are limited. Every day we focus on learning and doing our very best to be good students and kind to one another. I want to provide the best learning experience possible for every student in my classroom. The freedom of choice in a flexible seating classroom allows them the opportunity to explore and do their very best work!

My Project

Research shows that students learn by giving them choices. I have transformed my room this year to flexible seating and have seen some great result. I have selected adorable yoga balance balls to help the students get their wiggles out. The balance balls will help the students focus more on completed their very best work by allowing them the opportunity to move around when necessary and needed. They will love to be able to sit on these precious, cuddly, animal faces. These will be used in different areas of the classroom such as during independent work time, centers, and as rewards for all the amazing students.
