Every school day, I love observing the different strengths each child possesses and how they grow so much each and every day! When you walk into my Second Grade classroom, you will see a room filled with scientists, musicians, artists, authors, athletes, dreamers, and scholars.
As a teacher, I am always looking for engaging ways to help transform my lessons to make them exciting and engaging for my 2nd graders!
Despite all of my students' academic differences, I love seeing them come together and work as a team!
This is my fourth year teaching in an elementary classroom and I couldn't be more thrilled to see these eager learners enter my classroom and continue to grow throughout the year! The 18 active learners in my classroom are all connected by homes in rural South Dakota. About 47% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.
My students are creative, fun, eager learners. I want to create unique experiences where they will remember their learning! These kids continuously put a smile on my face and are the reason I love coming to school each day!
My Project
The second grade students at SES will all be learning their basic addition and subtraction facts throughout the school year. The students will be trying to become fluent with these facts and pass their tests to become Ninja Masters! Each week, the students will take a timed 1-minute test and each time they pass an addition or subtraction test they will earn a ninja incentive. We are hoping this will help encourage students to practice their facts and become fluent in math! Once all students have passed these facts and earned incentives we will throw them a pizza celebration party!
