My Students
I teach at a school that is Title I and seventy percent of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. This project will benefit so many students. We have some really great and eager kids at our school who want to be immersed in learning. I have students from so many diverse backgrounds including students identified with SLD, ADHD, and speech impairment.
Students learn best with activities they enjoy.
I want to bring more excitement to learning for my students. I want them to build confidence in themselves and be the best they can be so they all have a bright future ahead.
My Project
I love to open up my students to new authors. I want to show my students that authors aren’t limited to one character but often a variety of characters within different series.
I want to give my students new books they truly want to read and explore.
In the project I am requesting a variety of different books by the author Aaron Blabey. He has created such fun characters like Pig the Pug, Thelma the Unicorn, Mr. Pirahna, and the Bad Guys. I would also like to get some highlighter tape so I can also highlight key vocabulary we may be working on.
