This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Adult Special Education Independent Living Class, known as the Passport Program, is dedicated to preparing students for success in life beyond the classroom. As part of our unique coffee shop, where students engage in real-world skills such as customer service, budgeting, and entrepreneurship, we’ve recently added homemade lemonade to our menu. Now, we want to sweeten the deal by offering our staff and students a variety of flavored syrups to enhance this refreshing drink.

These syrups will give our students the chance to create new recipes, learn about flavor combinations, and develop customer service skills by offering personalized drink options.

With your support, we can provide delicious drink experiences while teaching our students how to run a successful small business and make choices that align with their skills and passions.

The syrups will allow students to practice not only preparing drinks but also managing inventory, following customer orders, and learning about the different flavors and ingredients that make a drink stand out. This will further build their skills for future employment and independent living, offering them hands-on experience that can translate to a variety of careers and everyday life.

By supporting our project, you are helping students in the Passport Program develop the skills needed for post-secondary success. This is an opportunity for students to feel valued, build responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to our school community. Your donation will help create an inclusive environment where all students feel supported and respected while learning essential life skills.
