My Students

My students are hard working, caring and eager to learn. They come to school with a smile on their face and kindness in their heart. Many see school as their safe place and a place where they can thrive and grow.

My school is a Title I School where 100% of students receive free and reduced price breakfast and lunch.

Many students participate in the backpack program where they receive food for the weekend.

My classroom is made up of students from different cultures. We use those experiences to enhance their learning.

My Project

Conceptualizing multiplication, division and area and perimeter is difficult for some students. The use of a manipulative will give those students alternative ways to show what they know.

With these whiteboards, pattern blocks, and attribute blocks, my students will be able to use hands on materials to explore, practice and visualize many concepts in math.

We are a school that recycles many items. With the whiteboards, we will be able to save many pieces of paper that would otherwise be used in learning new concepts.

When teaching area and perimeter, it is difficult for students to draw shapes with accurate dimensions. The grid whiteboards that are requested will help students be more accurate in their drawings and measurements.
