Adding on to the Learning Process

Help me give my students these miscellaneous items that need to be replaced or added to other projects that were already funded.

My Students

My students live on the reservation. The reservation has a school that receives students from K-12. My students are in special education. I have students in 6-8th grade. We include these students into the regular education classroom, giving them support with a special education teacher.

My students are needy and looking for attention in every way.

They appreciate anything you do for them. They are very energetic and love to learn and play. The school also supplies free breakfast and lunch for them, which provides them with two well-balanced meals for the day.

My Project

Some of our DonorsChoose merchandise has either been used or not enough of one item. We are in need of replacing these items so the students can continue to be successful in the classroom. Pencils are one of our biggest needs. No matter how many pencils you give in the day, I get less than a quarter returned. Our laminator is almost out of paper. We use this so we can laminate projects that the students do, so they go home in one piece. We also make quilts for the Veterans Powwow each year and are running out of materials, for example, rotary blades and scissors. This is a big event for the community. Snacks are used for rewards for the whole middle school. We give behavior bucks for making good choices and five students are picked each week for the reward. This usually comes out of the teachers' pockets.

Your donations would be greatly appreciated in helping my students continue to be successful.

My students have become more active and focused because of the merchandise that has been donated to us. We hope you continue to support our projects. I see the pleasure in the faces of my students every time I show them what we receive. Thank you, ​donors.
