This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology Fail!!!! Imagine working diligently on a product and being eager to print and share your work with your classmates just to be told, "Sorry kids, the printer isn't working right now because it's out of ink!"
I teach a fourth grade magnet class in the Los Angeles School District.
My students are predominantly of Latino decent. I have a diverse and intelligent bunch of students with 12 who are identified as gifted! My class is extremely dedicated and attentive. Life-long learning is one of the core principals I teach to my class, and we are constantly using technology to showcase our learning. My students work hard and impress any visitors who come into our class! Our classroom is colorful and bright and we love showcasing work throughout the walls on our 9 Bulletin Boards and on our cabinets. Visitors are always impressed with our classroom environment.
My Project
Thanks to Donors Choose my classroom received a new printer this year, the only problem is the replacement toner is expensive. By donating to this project you will ensure we have a year's worth of ink to keep our projects fully operational. My students use the classroom printer daily in order to display their quality work. In fact, when I assign vacation projects, many of the students have to print from the classroom because they do not have working printers or ink at home. By providing this color jet printer, my students will be able to feel like authors and be proud of the work they complete. They will also be able to print out the research they do throughout the year for their science, social studies, and writing projects.
Please help make our dreary days brighter with the help of a color printer!
