Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I provide speech and language therapy for students from preschool through 5th grade. We work on our communication needs in the areas of articulation, expressive language, receptive language, social skills, and fluency.

My students are hard working and always excited to come to speech.

They love to participate in speech activities, and I try to find exciting and motivating ways for us to improve our communication skills while having fun!

My Project

My students are in general education and special education classes, but they all need extra support in the area of communication. Some students have difficulty with producing sounds, while others need extra support in their language skills or their ability to socialize and communicate with their teachers and peers.

A color printer will add more visual stimulation during our speech and language activities.

Materials from TeachersPayTeachers will be printed in color and keep my students excited about attending speech. Some of my students need additional materials such as visual schedules and communication boards to help them effectively participate and communicate in the classroom. With a color printer, more communication boards will be provided in the preschool classrooms, allowing each student access their own board.
