My Students

At our school, we have a wonderful population of students. We have students from a variety of socioeconomic groups. Some of our students have every technology available to them at home, while some of our students' families are struggling to make ends meet.

This grant will help all students get the full benefit of the technology we use in class.

Many of our students from low socioeconomic status families are very motivated to achieve goals, but are lacking the support or technology at home to help them achieve that goal. We also have several students who cannot sit in a desk all day. They need to be able to move and stand while they learn.

My Project

Every year, I teach students who find it difficult to remain seated in class. These students are leaning on their chairs all day long and often fall over. I would really love to see how the wobble chair will help a few students be able to focus and remain seated while safely wobbling. I plan to use this wobble seat as a reward for students so that it can benefit many learners.

Our classroom is full of excited learners at many different ability levels.

Alexa will be available to assist students when the teacher is working with a small group. Alexa is going to help students spell difficult words, check their math problems, as well as answer some of the fascinating questions my students develop as we learn about new subjects.

The power pens are a great resource to help students practice math and comprehension skills. The cards have different questions with multiple choice answers. If the student chooses the correct answer the pen lights up green. If they are incorrect it lights up red. This is great because students receive immediate feedback while they are practicing their skills.
