This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The elementary school I work in is extremely special! We house over 600 students in three different programs. Besides having general education students, we also host students with severe autism and other special needs along side with bilingual students from different regions. Our school is a melting pot full of different talents and special skills. The requested items such as adaptive art supplies, sensory toys and special seating cushions will help my students succeed on daily basis. Many of my autistic students have difficulty transitioning into various activities and items such as magnatiles and sensory tiles will help them with that transition. I am so lucky to be a part of this community and having special adaptive art supplies and sensory items will help multiple students succeed even more in the art room!
