My Project

Some of my students have disabilities but they love participating in Adapted Physical Education class. Sometimes their enthusiasm wanes when they're forced to use equipment that is developmentally inappropriate for them.

The equipment provided in this project will allow my students to improve their hand-eye and foot-eye coordination with special sensory equipment that will be extra enjoyable to grasp, squeeze, and catch during Adapted Physical Education.

With this equipment, including stomp rockets and hand rockets, collapsible cones for teeball striking, easy-to-catch footballs and frisbees, and APE equipment bags, my students with disabilities will remain more engaged during Adapted Physical Education class and will be able to use developmentally appropriate equipment that will help them gain the skills and knowledge they'll need to continue leading healthy and active lives.
