Activity and Nutrition for the Little Spuds

Help me give my students beach balls to work on their volleying skills as well as an inclusive board game to help with nutrition since we put a big emphasis on nutrition in our elementary health classes.

My Students

The students that I get the opportunity to work with are some of the greatest and most appreciative kids I’ve been around. Many of them do not come from much, which makes them appreciate school and what comes with school much more. I teach elementary PE/Health and we are constantly looking for new and fun ways to keep our students active and healthy, both inside and outside of our school walls. As far as equipment, our goal is to have a 1/1 ratio of equipment to students when it comes to working with the different pieces of equipment and new skills we are working on. We have achieved that goal in many areas but still looking to fill in a few necessities with equipment that we’d like to do!

My Project

These resources will help our students work and develop hand-eye coordination as well as their volleying skills. This will give each student the opportunity to have their own beach ball during class to get the most out of their time in Physical Education class. We are constantly looking for fun and exciting ways to teach health and get our students excited about making health choices. The nutrition game will give students a chance to have fun and interact with a game that helps that learn and understand a well balanced diet.
