Imagine a classroom that is organized, colorful, and inviting; an environment where students are comfortable and excited to learn each day. I strive to create a classroom that will inspire a love of learning! I teach a wonderful, diverse group of seventeen fourth graders in a small elementary school in New Hampshire. They come from a variety of backgrounds and each brings something unique to the classroom. The students of today are constantly on the move and often have the energy to spare during the school day!
These bouncy bands attach to the legs of the desks and allow the kids to quietly kick or stretch their legs back and forth while they are working. They are able to gain movement and release some energy while still focusing on their learning. These bouncy bands can be a successful tool for those students who need help with regulating their bodies and focusing in the classroom, and studies have shown that students who are typically less engaged in class are better able to stay on task while using the bands. Unlike some other fidget items, bouncy bands also do not make noise, so surrounding classmates will not become distracted by them.
