Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My mathematicians are inquisitive learners who have a huge quest to know more. They are always thinking through and about problems trying to figure out new ways to prove their thinking.
My students are bright, sweet, and compassionate thinkers.
When in class, I like to provide my students with the absolute best! They are students who have hard working parents, that vary in their abilities to help my students. We would really appreciate your help; please help to make a difference.
My Project
Picture a classroom where in place of the uncomfortable chairs there are these great stools that look like game pieces with a seat on top! Wobble chairs allow students to have the movement that they crave, without distracting others, so that they can focus on their classwork.
My students are always moving and they would love to change the seats we have available in our classroom.
We all know how a person sitting near us who bounces their knee can distract us. Now imagine a class full of students who are trying to get comfortable and also still meet their need to move. The fidgeteez chair bands will allow for students to move their legs discreetly without bothers other mathematicians. The stability discs will enable the rest of the mathematicians to ability to focus while moving. All of the items will contribute to the various learning styles.
Last but not least, we are in need of pencils. Pencils are essential in regards to showing the mathematician's thinking on paper. We are currently on in a limited amount. Please help us to eliminate the fear of not being able to show our thinking on paper.
