Active Learners Need a Place to Document Their Learning

My students need an Deluxe teacher's Learning center easel to create anchor charts during whole group & small group learning and to post anchor charts on the classroom wall for students to refer back to.

My Students

I teach fourth grade students in a title one, public school, where more than fifty percent of the students come from low income families. Bush Elementary has built an amazing community between staff, parents, and students. We see most parents during parent pick - up to keep teacher and parent communication strong. This heavily benefits our students academic journeys.

My classroom is full of curious and creative students, eager for success.

My students thrive on engaging learning activities and strive to do their very best in everything they do. My students have multiple opportunities to set personal goals and monitor their progress. They have such a heart for learning. My students value kindness and hard work, encouraging their peers to do their best.

My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will be used everyday in my classroom. The materials will create a whole group learning environment where students can share their thinking through class discussion on the rug, together as a class.

This creates classroom community, as well as the anchor charts, created on the easel, to serve as visual learning tools that students will be able to refer back to throughout the entire school year.

The easel, anchor chart paper, and markers will be used to target vocabulary, major concepts, and reflections of learning from reading and social studies lessons.

Allowing students to help create these anchor charts (as a whole group), allows for visual aids to benefit every student, such as students with English as a second language, students with learning disabilities, and visual learners in my classroom.
