The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will be used everyday in my classroom. The materials will create a whole group learning environment where students can share their thinking through class discussion on the rug, together as a class. This creates classroom community, as well as the anchor charts, created on the easel, to serve as visual learning tools that students will be able to refer back to throughout the entire school year. The easel, anchor chart paper, and markers will be used to target vocabulary, major concepts, and reflections of learning from reading and social studies lessons. Allowing students to help create these anchor charts (as a whole group), allows for visual aids to benefit every student, such as students with English as a second language, students with learning disabilities, and visual learners in my classroom.
