This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fifth grade students are a fun-loving bunch of kids who enjoy learning. My fifth grade classroom is located within an urban school district, and we are a 100% free breakfast and lunch school.

My students are a mix of general education, Special Education, and English Language Learners.

The students in my classroom have a wide variety of educational strengths as well as academic needs. They are creative, motivated, and show a desire to be successful in all that they do.

My Project

I would like to add 3 Kore active wobble stools to our classroom environment as a flexible seating option. This is my first time considering flexible seating in my 5th grade classroom, and was unsure oh how helpful it'd be with my older students.

I purchased one stool for our classroom with my own funds and there is not only high interest in using it from many of my students, but more importantly I have seen results!

The funding of this project would help give more of my students what they need, which is the subtle movement this chair allows my students to have while they are learning.
