Acrylic Paint for High School Artists!

My Project

This year I am teaching art to 9th - 12 graders. The materials for this project will profit 200 intro level to art students and 50-100 of my specialized advanced students in 3D design, advanced drawing and advanced ceramics. My students are so eager to learn and create but they do not have the means to do so.

We have planned and critiqued the design for our work, now I just need to get my students the supplies they need, like acrylic paints, to make these dream projects a reality.

This project will allow me to supply ALL students with the tools they need to have a successful year in art class.

My classes give students the opportunity to create and express their inner voice. The students have a lot going on, personally, physically and emotionally. They desire to find ways to self express and the arts give them the outlet to do so. I strive every day to inspire them and keep their passion for the arts alive!

During classes, I have been able to motivate most of my students and get them to share their inner thought feelings and ideas. It is difficult and frustrating for these artists to constantly share what they are feeling written out or verbally. Asking students to share written/verbally is not always the right way for students to get their ideas noticed. Creating and making is a special component that allows students to express their inner voice when words are not available. I feel that my students are really missing out on connecting with their art and being able to share their ideas with the world. Please help me fund this project!
