My Students
My first grade students are smart, sweet, and eager to learn. They come from various socio-cultural backgrounds. Regardless of their family hardships and circumstances, my students are excited about coming to school and have proved to be successful in their academic achievement. I admire their enthusiasm and dedication to reaching their academic goals and thriving as young learners.
My students inspire me to be the role model, who motivates them to reach their full potential and leads them to their future success.
They are assets to our classroom community and their individual strengths and talents are distinguishable traits that promote their achievement. As an educator, I am honored to provide my students with a safe, caring, and rigorous learning environment that meets their diverse needs and allows them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. My students have all that it takes to become productive citizens at school and in society.
My Project
My young learners need an iPad to work on school-wide implemented reading and math educational programs. The students are expected to work daily on these programs in order to meet their weekly goals and reach 100% successful completion of these programs. Due to students' lack of technology at home and insufficient number of devices in our classroom, students take turns during the day using the iPads to work on their individual goals.
This iPad will be a great addition to our classroom and a vital learning tool that will positively impact my students' academic success.
The iPad will provide a new and exciting way for them to master reading fluency and comprehension skills as they independently read books at their level, take tests, and earn points toward completion of an Accelerated Reading level. Additionally, the use of the iPad will help my students to develop various math skills including addition and subtraction facts, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. The light weight, the interactive, and the touch-based accessible features of the iPad will make learning more engaging and entertaining for my first graders. With increasing class sizes, the iPad will be an asset to my students' learning and an effective instructional tool. We assure you that this digital device will bring joy, motivation, and success among my young kindergarten learners!
