My students need clipboards to assist them during their daily work as well as 2 stability balls and 5 bouncy bands to ensure all students are able to perform at their highest potential, and then some!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most students I encounter throughout the day fall fairly low in the socioeconomic status. Between 80%-90% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students receive backpack food for the weekend. We also have a high LEP (Language-English Proficient) count.
No matter their current home situation, when they walk through our doors our campus has an unyielding commitment to love and inspire them at every opportunity.
My students know they're cherished and are important to our future - and they believe the same of their peers.
My Project
Our classroom is composed of a very diverse community. There are many different learning styles, learning levels and personalities that walk through our doors each morning. Some of my students will need special tools such as bouncy bands and stability balls in order to improve their work ethic. Many studies have found that students with sensory processing disorders or ADHD are able to use these products as outlets to release their energy, and in turn are more focused, engaged, productive and even appear to be calmer.
Tools such as these can also decrease any behavioral problems that may coexist.
Although we do a plethora of kinesthetic learning through activities out of our seats, all of my young students sensory systems are still developing. Some of these students simply need to fidget! I would like to be able to meet all of my students needs. It is my pleasure to cater to the "whole" child. I hope to do this by allowing their bodies to instinctively be in motion while improving their cognitive immersion in our studies.
