My Students

My students are motivated and creative modern learners who excel doing hands-on science learning experiences. They are inquisitive by nature that constantly question how the world works and how they can apply what they've learned in my classroom to the outside world. No matter the background or up bringing, my students are driven by a thirst for knowledge and I am excited to have them in my class.

My students come from different backgrounds each with unique perspectives that enrich my classroom.

Through guided inquiry my classroom is filled with debate and exploration where all of my students rely on each other to come to a solution. What I love about inquiry based investigations is that the students come up to the solution themselves rather than hearing my lecture and tell them the answer. With this they form their own knowledge and and come up with different solutions to the same problem!

My Project

These print materials will help supplement my students learning of IB (International Baccalaureate) Chemistry. Currently my students are learning remotely and do not have access to textbooks. I've been reliant on third party resources which are not promoted by the IB program. These material were made in development with the IB governing body and the prescribed syllabus which will help aid in my teaching of the IB curriculum.

With these print material, my students will have equitable access to the IB curriculum and start learning on the same level as other students from around the world.

My students are a high achieving group who voluntarily take this college level chemistry course for the next two years. I want to make sure that they succeed in my class and on the IB exam! Please help me provide the appropriate material to help them be successful.
