Help me give my students an opportunity to document their community service engagement.

We are reaching out to request your generous support in providing cameras and books for a significant senior and junior volunteer project at our school. This initiative is not just a project; it's a stepping stone towards achieving dreams and breaking barriers for our students.
The cameras we are requesting will serve a pivotal role in enabling our students to capture their community engagement activities visually.
This documentation is crucial for their college admission portfolios, especially when applying to competitive colleges where extracurricular engagement can significantly impact admissions decisions.
The books we are requesting will provide our students with essential knowledge and inspiration for their volunteer projects. These resources will not only guide them in planning and executing meaningful community service projects but also enhance their understanding of the broader social impact of their work.
Our primary goal for this project is ambitious yet attainable: to ensure that 100% of the students involved get admitted into their #1 choice college. By equipping them with the means to document and reflect on their community service, we aim to enhance their college applications, making them more appealing to admissions committees.
Our students come from a historically marginalized community, one that has faced segregation and systemic barriers to equal education since the Supreme Court's decision in 1954. Despite not being properly integrated into the public school system and continually facing negativity and doubt, our students show remarkable resilience and determination. They are not defined by the challenges they encounter but by their capacity to overcome them and pursue their goals relentlessly.
With the support of Donors Choose, we can provide our students with the resources they need to effectively document their community engagement, thereby enhancing their college applications and increasing their chances of admission to their top colleges.
