My Project

My students are the most resilient and passionate group. They work hard to overcome the roadblocks that get in their way, whether those roadblocks are academic, social, behavioral, or independent daily living skills. Occasionally those roadblocks win, and we have accidents at school that make us uncomfortable, and we all know, the more uncomfortable we are the harder it is to focus on our work. While each student generally brings a change of clothes, we may have more than 1 accident a day, or our parents haven't had the opportunity to bring another set after our last accident. We never want to shame our students or send them home for something as simple as a toileting accident. Our goal is to keep them at school, happy and comfortable, as much as possible. When we are comfortable at school, we can focus on our work, complete our assignments, and learn brand new skills, as well as practice previously acquired ones!
