My Project

My students with Autism are eager to learn each day and deserve a special place for their learning materials. Many of my students come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and love being able to retrieve their favorite classroom materials independently from the bookshelf.

Our students need a place for their own materials during ELA, Math, Social Studies, ADL, ART and much more!

Having this shelf will allow our students to have their own space for their individual materials for each subject. Organization and planning is the key to our success. Some of these individual items stored in this bookshelf may include books, pencils, crayons, markers, construction paper, paint and sensory items. This bookshelf is essential in helping our students learn to be independent in retrieving and putting away their items throughout the day.
