Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students have special needs due to varies physical or cognitive disabilities. Some of my students require the use of a wheelchair and augmentative devices to communicate their needs and abilities. All my students work hard in their classroom and have made tremendous growth this year. They are hard working and always make you smile. Visitors love coming into my classroom to see their unconditional smiles and love for those who care for them. I am very proud of all of them.

My Project

The Stylus pens will assist my students who have fine motor skill difficulties in manipulating their IPADs. My students work on academic programs which require them to tap specific points on the IPADs and at times these points are small and difficult to manipulate. The large keyboard will assist my students who have visual needs as well as physical needs on the computer. It will also work for my students with low cognitive ability as well due to the key board only have the necessary keys needed.

Each of these items will increase independence for each student who has access.
